Why I Wrote
I co-authored We Believe: 30 Days to Understanding Our Heritage because there is a dreadful lack of awareness about what our Forefathers fought to create and preserve for us. As the campaign rhetoric heats up for the 1012 Presidential campaign, I see America at a critical crossroads. If we continue on the path we are following, we will become like the other semi-socialist democracies in Europe—broke, valueless, and ruled by unscrupulous men and women gifted at feeding platitudes to the electorate. Without a rudder, we will drift aimlessly, which will make us vulnerable from without and from within.
I also believe that this pessimistic outcome is not inevitable. We still have a chance to return to our core beliefs and to American exceptionalism, but we need to know what that is to do so.
That’s why David Dunham and I wrote this short book—We Believe: 30 Days to Understanding Our Heritage. It will help anybody who reads it to understand who we are, where we are, and what we need to do to return to our traditional values.
In just ten minutes a day for thirty days, practically anyone can become better grounded in the ideas and ideals that have made America a beacon of light for the entire world to see.
